Bunji Garlin for Heineken's party
SOCA artiste Bunji Garlin is set to headline Heineken's World Premiere Party schedule for Fort Rocky in Port Royal, Kingston, on November 22."The Heineken World Premiere Party promises high intensity, high energy, and high quality. Consumers can come expecting an amazingly entertaining event as we invite you all to enter the world of Heineken," said Nasha Douglas, Heineken brand manager.
Garlin, who is from Trinidad and Tobago, made inroads in the United States with his smash hit Differentology (Ready For the Road).
Written by Garlin and recorded at Black Ice studios in T&T, Differentology was released by Sheriff Music in late 2012. The following year, Differentology received a Soul Train Award for Best International Performance. It also won HOT 97 FM's Battle of The Beats competition, as well as MTV Iggy's Song of the Year.The track was later remixed by international producers Major Lazer for their EP, Lazers Never Die Vol 4.
That version peaked at number nine on the iTunes World Music Chart and featured in an episode of the hit ABC show, Grey's Anatomy."This will be different from any other party we have done. As a premium beer, we have to reflect the stellar quality of the brand in whatever we do. Therefore, we plan to deliver exactly that to our consumers," said Douglas.
Also slated to perform are Surinamese DJ and producer Chuckie as well as DJs Nicco, Chromatic and Kamal Bankay.
